Powered by a four cylinder 1.8 litre engine, the Elise R uses sophisticated variable valve timing and lift (VVTL-i) technology to deliver 189 hp at an exhilarating 7800 rpm.

0-60 mph takes 5.1 seconds, aided by a close ratio 6-speed gearbox. And when the variable cams shift position at 6200 rpm the additional thrust is simply unforgettable.

A limited slip differential with Lotus traction control system (LTCS) is also available as an option.
